Ganesh Chaturthi 2024, Ganesh Avatar in Kalyug: Lord Ganesha, son of Parvati and Shiva, is said to be the giver of wisdom, knowledge and all accomplishments. He is the first to be worshipped among all the gods. Therefore, he is worshipped before starting any auspicious work.
There are various stories and beliefs about the birth of Lord Ganesha. In Hinduism, the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is considered to be the birth date of Lord Ganesha. Therefore, the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha is celebrated on this day as Ganesh Chaturthi, which is on 7 September 2024 this year.
In the Puranas, there is a description of Lord Ganesha’s birth in Satyayug, Tretayug and Dwapar Yug. But along with this, Lord Ganesha will also take incarnation in Kaliyug. Such a prophecy has been made in the Ganesha Purana.
Ganesha incarnations in different eras
Satya Yuga: It is believed that in Satyuga, Lord Ganesha was born as Vinayaka. In this incarnation, his vehicle was a lion. He killed the demons named Devantak and Narantak and established religion.
Treta Yuga: In this era, Lord Ganesha was born from the womb of Uma, in which he was named Ganesha. In this incarnation, his vehicle was peacock, he was white in colour, had six elements and became famous in all three worlds. Born on the fourth day of Bhadrapada Shukla, he destroyed a demon named Sindhu. He was married to Brahmadev’s daughters Siddhi and Riddhi.
Dwapara Yuga: In Dwapar, the incarnation of Lord Ganesha is famous by the name Gajanan. In this era, Ganapati was born again from the womb of Maa Parvati. But after birth, due to some reason, Maa Parvati left him in the forest and he was brought up by Parashar Muni. In this incarnation, Ganesh ji wrote Mahabharata on the advice of sage Ved Vyas. Also, in this incarnation, he killed Sindurasur.
Kaliyug: Now the Ganesha avatar has been predicted at the end of Kalyug. Just as the Kalki avatar of Lord Vishnu has been mentioned in Kalyug, similarly the Dhumraketu avatar of Lord Ganesha is also mentioned. Let us know when and in which avatar Ganpati Bappa will come in Kaliyug.
When such things happen on the earth then Ganesha will be incarnate
- According to Ganesha Purana, when the attention of Brahmins will shift from studying Vedas to other works, when penance, chanting, yagya and auspicious works will stop on earth, then the Kalyug avatar of God will appear to protect religion.
- Along with this, when learned people will become fools and will cheat each other and earn profit out of greed, they will cast evil eyes on other women and the strong will start exploiting the weak when the new incarnation of Ganesh ji will come.
- It is said in Ganesha Purana that when people in Kalyug will deviate from the path of religion and start worshiping demons or evil powers instead of gods, then the Kalyug incarnation of Lord Ganesha will appear.
- When women become deficient and abandon the religion of being faithful to their husbands, and start following the path of sin for money, etc., and start insulting their teachers, family members and guests, then Lord Ganesha will incarnate.
When and how will Lord Ganesha’s incarnation happen in Kalyug
In Ganesh Purana, Lord Ganesha himself has prophesied that at the end of Kaliyug, there will be an incarnation of Lord Ganesha, whose name will be Dhumraketu or Shupkarna. God will come in this incarnation to remove the evils, sins and bad customs spread in Kaliyug. God will have a sword in his hand. He will be four-armed and will ride a blue horse to destroy the sinners and start the Satyayug again.
Let us tell you that Dhumraketu will be the eighth and last incarnation of Lord Ganesha (The Eighth Avatar Of Ganesha). Before this, he has had seven incarnations – Vakratunda, Ekadanta, Mahodar, Gajanan, Lambodar, Vikat and Vighnaraj. In Dhumraketu avatar, he will destroy Abhimansur along with Lord Vishnu’s Kalki avatar to protect humans and religion.
